Post Surgical Advice
- Take your pain medication regularly as prescribed.
- Use the ice pack. It should be applied externally (i.e. on the face) over the area where the surgery was performed.
- Rest for at least the 24 hours following the procedure. Preferably for 48 hours.
- Avoid any form of excercise.
- Avoid over using your mouth and laughing. Keep your diet to soft foods and drink plenty of fluids.
- Avoid rinsing out your mouth for 24 hours as this may initiate further bleeding. Use the prescribed mouth rinse to gently bathe the area after all meals for five days minimum.
